WHY should i HIRE you instead of someone else?

  • WE HIRE W-2 EMPLOYEES NOT INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS: We hire and fully train employees, not independent contractors, which means we take full responsibility for every aspect of how we conduct business. As per the Department of Labor, it’s illegal for pet service companies to hire independent contractors and have control over them (ie train them, tell them when to show up for a job, and how to perform that job), yet many companies get away with it. We are fully compliant with the Department of Labor and the IRS. Prior to hiring a dog walker, make sure you know their status and credentials for your own safety.

  • WE’RE FULLY LICENSED, INSURED, BONDED AND BACKGROUND CHECKED: As a professional dog walking and pet sitting company, we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured for your protection. All employees are nationally background checked to protect your pets and home in the event of accident or theft. Before hiring any dog walker or pet sitter, you should always ask for proof of licensing and insurance.

  • WE HAVE WORKERS COMPENSATION: We have workers compensation insurance to cover employees, this protects you if an employee is hurt on your property.

  • WE’RE PET CPR AND FIRST AID CERTIFIED: We know how to properly care for your pets in an emergency.

  • WE ALWAYS HAVE BACKUP COVERAGE: We always have back up employees who can cover in an emergency.

  • WE HAVE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: We have experience and knowledge to detect potential dangers to your home and pets.

  • WE KNOW PROPER LEASH WALKING: We know how to handle your dog on a leash safely and can recommend the appropriate leash and harness for your type of dog.

  • WE HAVE A CLIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: We have a secure online system to manage all scheduling and invoicing. NO PET IS FORGOTTEN!

Are you a kennel or offer boarding?

No, we are not a kennel nor do we offer boarding. We provide pet sitting services in your own home. We believe pets that stay in their own environment are happier and healthier than pets who stay in kennels or other boarding facilities.

We are currently providing dog walking, pet sitting, and pet taxi services to clients residing in: Budd Lake, Byram, Califon, Chester, Flanders, Hackettstown, Long Valley, Mendham, Morris Plains, Morristown, Mt. Olive, Netcong, Peapack & Gladstone, Pottersville, Randolph, Roxbury, Stanhope.

Which pets do you have experience caring for?

We care for just about any type of animal. We have experience caring for dogs, cats, turtles, ferrets, chickens, doves, cockatiels, gerbils, mice, sugar gliders, and others. Have a unique animal? Just ask us!

Do I get to meet my dog walker or pet sitter?

Yes! All new clients will receive a complimentary meet and greet, where they will meet their dog walker or pet sitter. One of the benefits of hiring Walks Wiggles and Wags is that we work as a team. This means we have backups available in the event your primary dog walker or pet sitter has an emergency, so you’ll never have to worry about coverage.

What do you do for my pets while you're here?

The comfort and safety of your pet in our #1 priority. Our sitters will follow a detailed checklist to ensure your pet’s routine is followed during each visit. You will provide the pet's routine before each reservation.

How can I trust you?

All of our dog walkers and pet sitters are nationally background checked for your safety. We’re also trained in what we do, are Pet CPR and Pet First Aid Certified, and have years of experience We invite you to check out our many online reviews to get a feel for what other client's think about our services.

Can I book services directly with my sitter?

No! All reservations must be made through our mobile app or your online client portal. Reservations made outside of our system will not be considered valid, and you will not be covered by Walks Wiggles and Wags’ insurance and bonding. Also, all of our dog walkers and pet sitters signed a non-solicitation agreement which makes it illegal for them to service any of Walks Wiggles and Wags’ clients or solicit them outside of the app.

What are your payment terms?

We accept all major credit cards and ACH transfer from a checking account. Payment is due in full prior to rendering any services. For dog walking reservations, invoices are billed weekly, three days prior to first booked service. For overnight pet sitting and pet taxi reservations, a 50% deposit is due at time of booking. Pet sitting invoices are due two weeks’ prior to rendering services.
