Our pet taxi rates are charged per segment of trip. We use Google Maps and select the fastest route. Traffic, accidents, weather conditions, and other factors may affect duration of each pet taxi trip.

Important Information About Pet Taxi Charges

When booking a pet taxi service, please keep in mind that charges are based on the total time spent, including travel from our location to your pick up location, waiting, and transport. Here’s how it works:

How You're Charged:

⏳ Travel Time From Us to Your Pet: You’ll be charged for the time it takes for us to get from our location to your pet’s pick-up location if distance is more than 5 miles or more than 10 minutes.

⏳ Wait Time: If we arrive and your pet isn’t ready for pick-up (e.g., the groomer is running behind), any waiting time will be factored in the total time.

⏳ Transport to Destination: Once we’ve picked up your pet, you’ll be charged for the time it takes for us to transport your pet.

⏳ Unloading & Settling Time: If your pet is being checked in for an appointment (vet, groomer, daycare, etc.), the time spent unloading, gathering their belongings, and checking them in will be factored in the total time.

If we are dropping your pet home, the time spent unloading and settling them in, such as refilling their water bowl, letting them out for a quick potty break, or feeding them will also be accounted for.

Example: If transport takes 20 minutes and getting them settled or checked in takes another 10 minutes, you’ll be charged for a 30-minute pet taxi.

⏳ Return Travel to Our Location: If it takes us more than 10 minutes or more than 5 miles to return to our location after completing the pet taxi service, additional time will be charged based on the actual return travel time.

Example: If it takes 11 minutes to get back, you’ll be charged for a 15-minute pet taxi. If the return trip takes 21 minutes, you’ll be charged for 30 minutes.

Rounding Up Policy:

Time will be rounded to the nearest 5 minutes, ensuring fair pricing. Charges are based on 15-minute increments, meaning:

  • 1-20 minutes → Charged for 15 minutes

  • 21-35 minutes → Charged for 30 minutes

  • 36-50 minutes → Charged for 45 minutes

  • 51-65 minutes → Charged for 60 minutes

    Example: If a trip was expected to take 20 minutes but actually took 22 minutes, you’ll be charged for 30 minutes.

Detailed Trip Breakdown:

Transparency is key! After each pet taxi service, you will receive a detailed breakdown with time stamps for each leg of the trip. This will include:
✔️ The time it took to travel each segment
✔️ Any waiting time (if applicable)
✔️ Total mileage for each segment of the trip
✔️ Notes on your pet’s trip and care
✔️ GPS-tracked route of our travels for full visibility
